The Big Agenda Debate that is currently taking place on The Pan-Africans. org 's website is discussing the imperatives that should be included in the black people's agenda for the 21st century. High on the list of imperatives call for the unification of all of the descendants of the African victims of the slave trade in sub-Saharan Africa and centuries of slavery in the Americas and as a unified group demands restorations of all of their stolen Birth Rights in sub-Saharan Africa; demand reparations from all of the slave traders, both white and black, who took part in the slave trade in sub-Saharan Africa. The unified aggrieved Diaspora demands reparations from all of the people and all of the countries who exploited African slave labor to acquire their wealth or to develop their countries. The Diaspora demands a fair share of all of the proceeds derived from the sale of all of the natural resources of sub-Saharan Africa and that the Diaspora's share of proceeds derived from the natural resources be use for the construction of hydroelectric dams at Inga Falls on the Congo and Victoria Falls of the Zambezi which will supply of the electricity for the complete electrification of all parts of sub-Africa. It is ironic that the Pan-Africans list the Nubian Aquifer as one of the three most important physical assets of sub-Saharan Africa and can only be developed by an ample supply of electricity. These are only a few of the topics that are currently debated in The Big Agenda Debate taking place on The Pan-Africans.org. website.
Nubia TV is uniquely positioned to transmit the consensus opinions of The Big Agenda Debate to black people all over the world...

I can't believe this statement from Fox:

A spokeswoman for Fox said: “Fox News believes in all protesters exercising their right to free speech, including Nas, who has an album to promote.”

The protestors were not there for Nas. He may be for the cause but they are not there for him. Nor does Nas NEED to promote his album. He's a legend. It will sell REGARDLESS. They skipped around the entire point of the protest. And didn't comment on it for the most part. It shows that they may actually be concerned about Nas's remarks about the network. Which I do not anymore and will not watch.....not on my life!

For those that want to know why the Nas remark came from the network, go youtube the video Sly Fox. You will see what the concern is.

Many of the network's anchors are purely racist. I give everyone the benefit of a doubt, but when you are consistent, it's your true color. So if you consistent push out racist remarks, then you are racist, no doubt there at all. I don't think Fox understands the poison they are putting out to the people. We (in a general sense) are impressionable. This propaganda needs to stop. It shows that this country although, slavery is abolished, women and blacks can vote, etc we actually have not come as far as we wished. Racism is still thriving in this county. It's just in a different medium. It's in glass ceilings in the corporate world. It's in academic road blocks at TWI (I fully support our HBCU's!). It's in politics. It's in police beatings. Its still here. My grandparents (and so on) generation put their lives on the line for me and although, there are no more lynchings, no more fire hoses, no more colored signs...it's still here and we still have to fight.

It is sad to see that there are still people who are willing to forward racism in this manner. Cowards do this type of action and then go run and hide.

It is no secret that the racist faction of this nation is uncomfortable with the various changes that have happened.

We need to be aware of the fact that these types of incidents occur. But we also need to make a decision on how to balance out the attention that is given to the type of action. Too much makes it seem as if we are afraid. Too little and it is like an open invitation for more.

I wish just once the people w ho do this type of act could be caught.
Ignorance is at an all time high in this nation~this is an example.

Press Release: Presidential Candidate Barack Obama to visit Tempelhof-Berlin

Presidential Candidate Barack Obama is to visit Tempelhof Airport during his stay in Berlin – before its untimely closure.

Probably influenced by pressure from the Mayor of Berlin Klaus Wowereit prevented Barack Obama´s speech in Tempelhof, a visit by the United States Presidential Candidate to the historic site is still on the agenda.

The extensive discussions in preparation for his visit have served to demonstrate that the future of Tempelhof is still an internationally controversial subject and that the Airport is a monument of historic importance.

No one has formulated this as succinctly as the veteran “candy bomber” Gail Halvorsen: “In America, we´ve got a symbol of freedom, it is called 'Statue of Liberty'. I believe that Tempelhof Airport is the German equivalent of the Statue of Liberty. Freedom in Germany began in Tempelhof during the years 1948 and 1949.”

Volker Perplies, representing the “Initiative to Promote Tempelhof Airport as part of the World Cultural Heritage” maintains that “ … Tempelhof and the Air Lift marked the final end of the Nazi era and guaranteed the creation of freedom for Berlin, Germany and the whole of Europe. Tempelhof is not only a symbol of freedom, Tempelhof and the Allied Air Lift mark the point at which the Allies, and especially the Americans, were no longer regarded as conquerors, but as friends.

And quite apart from this, Tempelhof is the world´s oldest Airport, characterised by the prominent British architect as “the Mother of all Airports!”, it is the third largest building in the world and was, for a long time, the central focus of the Cold War.”

Perplies continues: “ … and all this can still be authentically experienced as the Airport has remained unchanged over the years."

Anywhere else, a historical site such as this would be declared a national monument. But not in Berlin.

Despite the bitter opposition of the population, the Federal Government, commerce and industry as well as many notable intellectuals, the ruling Berlin Senate has decided to close down the Airport. The “official” excuse is that Tempelhof might jeopardize the legality of the new Berlin International Airport on the City limits.

"Against the fierce resistance from citizens, federal government, economy, society and culture, the Berlin Senate decided to close the airport down and have it disappear from the world map. Officially this is necessary because of "legal risks for the construction of a new Airport Berlin (BBI). Unofficially it is suspected that the mayor of Berlin, Klaus Wowereit, follows the wishes of his coalition partner, the former East German communist party SED, now 'Linkspartei'", said Karl-Helmut E. Zermin.
Michael Paul of the United Action Group (www.be-4-tempelhof.de): “Even before the recent plebiscite had taken place, Mayor Wowereit had made it perfectly clear how he saw the situation. Whatever the outcome, he was determined to close Tempelhof.” In the event, more than 60% of the voters declared their preference to maintain Tempelhof, but the Senate was able to reduce the number of voters under the necessary quorum.

“Instead of the world famous Airport,” Paul continues “Berliners will be faced with a typical urban development with commeracial and residential areas.”

The hopes of all those in favour of Tempelhof now rest on whether the German Federal Government is prepared to decide the issue as, unlike any other monument, Tempelhof is not only of national importance. It is also internationally renowned and its fate can therefore not be left in the hands of local politicians.

In the meantime, the Federal Government and thousands of people from throughout the world have made their wish to save Tempelhof Airport known on the web site www.rescue-tempelhof.org. And this is merely one of the many facets of the interest shown well beyond the borders of Berlin and Germany.

So now expectations are focused on the Federal Chancellor Frau Merkel in the hope that she will be able to act decisively.
