Along with the celebration of black history, we would like to celebrate our integrated history. Some people don’t know what the NAACP is all about and its purpose. History has proven that a man must stand for something or he will fall for anything.
The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination.
Founded Feb. 12, 1909, the NAACP is the nation’s oldest, largest and most widely recognized grassroots-based civil rights organization. (Daily Comet)
