Vice President Joe Biden is among the speakers scheduled to appear at the National Urban League conference in Chicago.
Biden is the featured speaker Friday at a session on building America’s work force.
Basketball star-turned-entrepreneur Magic Johnson is a panelist at the session.
And business leaders, actors, politicians and community activists from around the country are expected at the conference.
Organizers say up to 5,000 people could attend. The conference runs from today through Saturday.
In addition to panels and plenary sessions, the conference includes a career fair that’s free and open to the public.
The conference’s theme is “The Path to Power.”
