NAACP condemns ACC for awarding baseball tourneys to South Carolina

The NAACP has condemmed the Atlantic Coast Conference for awarding its future baseball tournaments to South Carolina in defiance of the group’s boycott of the state for flying the Confederate flag on Statehouse grounds.

Last week, ACC leaders agreed to bring the tournament to Myrtle Beach from 2011-2013.

The NAACP’s resolution says that dignity, decency and respect continue to be absent from the ACC’s action plan.

An ACC spokeswoman did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

NAACP board member James Gallman said the resolution passed unanimously Saturday.

NAACP is another racist group we need to get rid of. Just like the KKK, Skinheads, Nazi, and others like them. NAACP is of the same caliber and no better.

WOW!! This is sad… 140 years later that the confederate flag still flies anywhere. It's not just about black or white it's bout a time in our nation when part of our country choose to live with hate, and racism, as a symbol. WE are the United States of America, and that includes everyone! The ACC is wrong, and there should be other financial boycotts in So. Carolina, because that is the only way businesses, governments, and people see that this type of ideology must stop!!
