Tavis Smiley is self-centered and out-of-touch. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to see that Sen. Obama was busy at the time Smiley was having his "events." Obama had a campaign strategey which was at a critical time designed for him to reach a large number of Americans in different states did not include Smiley's boring tv show on CSPAN. Why Smiley took it upon himself afterwards to bad-mouth candidate Obama is beyond me. After the election Smiley declared that HE would be holding President-Elect Obama accountable. Accountable to what? Who cares about Smiley's World? There are far greater issues for the new President to deal with than Tavis Smiley's view of America. Your'e right Smiley does have a dilemma with Black America. Smiley is out of step, we want the new President to be a success. Smiley should either jump on board with the rest of us or take his marbles and go home.
