- In more bad news for Detroit’s Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, Michigan Attorney General Mike Cox will announce at 10 a.m. on Friday whether or not he will file charges against him for an alleged assault that took place last month against a deputy attempting to deliver a subpeona. Kilpatrick has been accused of shoving a Wayne County Sheriff’s detective attempting to subpeona the mayor’s friend Bobby Ferguson.
Kilpatrick was jailed today for violating the terms of his bond. The Attorney General’s announcement will be made at Detroit’s New Center. It is expected that Kilpatrick will be charged with at least one felony.
