- A new poll shows John McCain made gains on Barack Obama in four key November battleground states — Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin — giving McCain a slight edge in one state, and chipping away at Obama’s lead in the others.
The Quinnipiac University/Wall Street Journal/WashingtonPost.com poll showed McCain tentatively ahead of Obama in Colorado by 2 percentage points, with McCain at 46 percentage points, and Obama at 44. One month ago, Obama held 49-44 percent lead.
