Now that the back peddling and "misquotes" or the past few days have been turned into a 2010 "goal" close to Obama timeframe and no where near McCain's 100 year war, the man with wisdom beyond his years prevails. On CNN tonight on Anderson's 360, David Gergen tried to make Obama appear to have stepped across the line accusing Obama of negotiating while meeting with Maliki-- which is a purely "presidential" action. Mr. Gergen is off-base. Obama is on a fact finding mission and the fact remains, he has the right to discuss his vision of ending the Iraq war with the Prime Minister. The exchange of ideas in the meeting prove Obama is not inexperienced. The Prime Minister shares a similar goal with the Presumptive Democratic Nominee.
