Nader: Obama ‘talking white’

In an interview held on Monday with the Rocky Mountain News, Independent presidential candidate Ralph Nader accused Democratic nominee Sen. Barack Obama of avoiding black issues in an attempt to “talk white.”

“There’s only one thing different about Barack Obama when it comes to being a Democratic presidential candidate. He’s half African-American,” Nader said. “Whether that will make any difference, I don’t know. I haven’t heard him have a strong crackdown on economic exploitation in the ghettos. Payday loans, predatory lending, asbestos, lead. What’s keeping him from doing that? Is it because he wants to talk white? He doesn’t want to appear like Jesse Jackson? We’ll see all that play out in the next few months and if he gets elected afterwards.”

    That statement is so ludicrous that it almost doesn’t deserve a response. But, I will give one.
    Mr. Nader: Most of “us” know that “elitist” is code for “uppity N-word”. Mr. Al Calloway and others have made this abundantly clear. So YOU LOSE on that front-trying to call Mr. Obama out.
    “Talking white” has also been clarified by many. So you can’t call out Mr. Obama with this phrase.
    Let me ask you, do you “talk white”?? If not, you might want to get some eloqution lessons. If so, why are YOU trying to appeal to “us” when you haven’t stated what YOU plan to do for us? Or, are you trying to appeal to us by dissing Mr. Obama. Sooooo very DUMB!!!!
    Look, you’ve been around for a loooong time. Tell us what you have done for the human race and leave the race baiting out of this race. You, obviously, don’t appeal to the “wh*te race” based on your failed presidential runs!! And, guess what, you would never get my vote or that of some others that I know.
    Go and get a life! You are not needed here!!
