Obama resigns church membership

- According to Chicago blogger, Monroe Anderson, Sen. Barack Obama sent a letter to Trinity United Church of Christ yesterday resigning his membership.  His resignation comes on the heels of a controversial video clip of Father Michael Pfleger speaking in a guest appearance at Trinity.

    it’s about time! Nothing but negativity seems to come out of Trinity lately, I’m afraid to say. He and Michelle, Sasha, and Malia deserve a church that is DIGNIFIED and reflect his values, and Trinity does not. He should have left a long time ago, but this is still great news I have been waiting for. Trinity is an embarassment and does not deserve the Obamas.
