- As he has in Southern states, Barack Obama received overwhelming support in North Carolina’s presidential primary from black voters.
That’s according to surveys of voters conducted for the The Associated Press and television networks on Tuesday.
The Illinois senator also was the choice of voters on three critical issues: the economy, war in Iraq and health care. He also led among voters under the age of 65.
