- Will former Vice-President Al Gore and former President Jimmy Carter endorse Sen. Barack Obama in the Democratic presidential primary race?  International paper, The Scotsman, indicates in its Sunday edition that Sen. Hillary Clinton’s falling poll numbers and recent missteps have led to the belief that Clinton should exit the race.  In a recent Rasmussen poll, 32% of Democratic voters feel that Clinton should drop out.

If this endorsement were to occur, the question remains - will this convince Clinton to bow out? Clinton remains publicly committed to staying in the race until the Democratic National Convention in August.  Just how much damage this extended nomination battle until Denver will have on the party’s nominee in the fall remains to be seen.
