Rasmussen Reports conducted a poll of 1200 likely voters April 4-6 in a national telephone survey about discrimination. While over 70% of African-Americans surveyed feel that race relations are better now than in the 1960s, only 47% feel that relations are getting better, 21% feel that race relations are getting worse and 32% feel relations are about the same or aren’t sure. Older respondents were more likely to feel that relations are getting better as opposed to those in younger age ranges.
All demographics surveyed (gender, age, race, party affiliation, and ideology) with the the exception of those surveyed that identify as Republican, feel that African-Americans face more discrimination than women.
