Afrosphere Action Coalition observes “Day of Blogging For Voter Justice” and launches online petition

Staff Writer, BlackPoliticsontheWeb.com

The Afrosphere Action Coalition (AAC) has marked March 25 as the “Day of Blogging for Voter Justice” and is circulating an online petition calling upon Senator Hillary Clinton to “face the reality of the earned delegates count, concede defeat, and thereby contribute to healing a wound which is opening and continues to widen” in the Party.

Twenty-five bloggers are participating in the Day of Blogging For Voter Justice, while the petition, at last count, has over 500 signatures. Senator Clinton currently trails Senator Barack Obama in both delegate count and the popular vote, with ten contests remaining.

Thanks for running this. The response nationally, from every skin color of the spectrum, has been tremendous. Just look at the names on the petition and you can see that the signatories have Polish, Latin American, French and Italian last names, as well as our Black signatories.

That shouldn’t surprise anyone, really, since Obama won in states like Vermont, where there are virtually no Black people – only white people.
