Crime Stoppers is seeking anonymous tips in connection with the April 30, 2003, slaying of Tamara Greene. Greene, 27, who danced at strip clubs under the name Strawberry, was fatally shot at 3:40 a.m. during a drive-by in northwest Detroit.
She was rumored to have danced at a party at the mayor’s Manoogian Mansion in the fall of 2002. It has never been proved that such a party happened, and state Attorney General Mike Cox concluded the story was an urban legend.
“With information from the public we will bring to justice the person who did this to Ms. Greene,” said John Broad, president of Crime Stoppers of Southeast Michigan. Broad said he put out a press release in the Greene case because it has become high profile.
